Gday
It's 8pm on Sunday night, and we're sitting full as bulls after a thai red curry watching tv like a couple of Americans with little else to do but admire our own laziness.
Its been a good weekend, we went up to Bendigo to see Jo's sister Lisa and her family and we went to a great restaurant called Borchelli, eating fine food and sinking red wine whilst the world outside was going ape for the passing cyclists and chinese dragons. It was some sort of festival and cycle race combo and made for a good atmosphere.
Zac was on form and challenged me to a game of chess, which I duly lost heavily. I've managed to get the promise of a rematch at christmas time...
It's been pretty cold the last few days and we've had some decent rainfall which has been long overdue. It's good and we'll have plenty of sun and heat to come over the next few months.
So I had my last exam and therefore my last day at uni on Tuesday. It went quite well, the results come out in a few weeks so that will be eagerly anticipated. Now the transition from student to professional has taken place, although I always thought of myself as a modicum of professionalism.
Ok, it's now 2pm on Tuesday afternoon after I got distracted from writing this masterpiece. We watched a film called Smart People with Dennis Quaid and Sarah Jessica Parker. It was alright, no more no less.
I have a cup of tea, I have my laptop on the balcony and the weather is great. I've been looking for jobs for the last few days and there are slim pickings out there unfortunately. But perseverance is the key. Genius cannot stay on the shelf for long...
I still have the mo, only 5 days til it comes off. It can't come soon enough, I've no idea why someone would want a 'tache permanently, the itch, the wire bristles catching soup and breadcrumbs and the looking like a ginger Magnum PI. Each to their own i guess.
No real news to divulge, although Jo is in a terrible state over her former hero, potty-mouthed michelin star chef Gordon Ramsay, who has been having extra sides so it seems. What a f**kin wally! Heh heh. Only 29 days til christmas, which is obviously great news. I hope you are all basting yourselves in the season's joviality, like the hapless turkey himself.
Right, time to baste myself in programming code...
See ye
Al and Jo x
