Melbourne Cup day today, hoorah! Even if one does not care much for the races, they have to appreciate the fact we are given a day off because of a horse race, gotta love Australia. Debate has now arisen about having a day off prior to the AFL grand final, which I fully support :p It was a good day at the track for Al and I. For the first time in my life I backed the winner of the cup, which as shocking as that is, the horse is actually called "Shocking", so it all fits. Al supported a horse by the name of "Crime Scene" which came in second and as an outsider, paid quite well. Good day at the track, cant ask for much better than that.
Wedding plans are coming along.....never ending.... Just over 4 months until the big day and the anticipated honeymoon at the Whitsundays. We cant wait! I am taking all of March off, I like the way that sounds :)
3 weeks until Al and I are off to Perth. We are having two days there to ourselves before my conference starts. It is likely to be hot so a visit to some of the beautiful beaches over there may be warranted. We are also likely to go to Fremantle also but unfortunately wont have time to go to the Margaret River which is a place we both really want to visit at some stage (um...major winery region of Australia...need I say anymore).
