Well here I am, blogging like a youth on my iPhone. i'm in country new south wales, specifically Nyngan, a wee town of 2,500 a short flight and two hour drive from Sydney. Up here for work purposes, Nyngan being our main office. it's different and reminds me of the flying doctors set.Bergerac is on the tv, maybe I've somehow slipped into the 1980s, although given that my grey hairs still appear in the mirror sadly I don't think it is so.
So on with the news, and these words you read are being typed by the newly crowned 'Most Outstanding Student' for my course. An accolade so out of the blue as to make JFK's assassination seem utterly usual. Great news of course and I've managed to set my modesty aside for long enough to pat myself on the back briefly. Woo hoo.
In other, obviously less important, news we've been busy again with wedding planning, and it is coming together nicely. Jo has been particularly busy at work as projects she is working on and leading progress.
We met up with George and Jan on Friday and went to an evening of comedy at the comedy club. it was pretty funny, although the comedians seem to regurgitate the same jokes,2 of them Jo and I had seen two years ago did the same gags throughout. Fair play though, they were decent. The occasion was in aid of G 's birthday, felicitations again mate.
Well I can't upload any photos at the moment but will try next time. maybe a couple of glorious nyngan if yer lucky...
My thumb's a bit sore now so I better rest up now. But last shout out has to be to my Nana, just turned 93 and very unlikely to read this, but still I'm putting the love out there. Happy Birthday you old bugger! As they would say down under.
Take it easy one and all. More to come sooner than it took me last time, promise.
