New hoose and new year...and....spiders!!!!

Well, we are settled into our hoose in Aberdeen street now, yay! The extra space is fantastic and we are both really enjoying living here. However, an older style hoose with gardens and trees brings about spiders and other "things". Ive been living in the city for 14 yrs now and previously in relatively new apartments, so I think my old country girl management style with spiders has gone out the window. Al saw his first huntsman in our little garden shed the other day which I think he got a thrill out of (versus my panic attack!). We also have a largish possum with back-pack baby roaming our garden at night which is nice :)






OOOHHH MMYYY GOOODDD....just as I typed the last paragraph a king kong size spider walked across our lounge roof...eewwwwwwww. It had the appearance of the Aussie white tail spider which is not a nice spider at all. Ok, so I just ran away while fiercely instructing Al to rid of it. Al, to my surprise was very excited about it all and documented the whole thing via photos. Surface spray is certainly coming out tonight...yuuuuucccckkkkkkkk.

ok, breath Jo...breath...("Al, stop dissecting the dead spider and put it in the bin!!!")



(Jo continues to type while hyperventilating) Santa recently popped by for a visit. This was Al and my first Christmas alone together at home. We went to a little french style restaurant for lunch which was really nice and had a quiet-ish day. We also had a quiet NYE to bring in 2010, going out to a really nice Italian restaurant with some friends.

Wedding plans continue. January is going to be a very busy month. We have both set our hens / bucks dates which will be fun. Something tells me the next 2mths are going to fly by.

right, better leave the blog now. Al is spraying surface spray everywhere and I think I might suffocate if I don't leave for fresh air.
