Well, this is the second post on our blog, but actually the first time I (Jo) have ever posted a blog entry. The experience got off to a rocky start with Allan "English teacher" McKelvie making me retype the blog title about 4 times until he was happy with it :p
It is a long weekend thanks to the Queen's birthday. I, unfortunately, will not be sharing in the extra day off as I am off to Tasmania tomorrow (Monday) for work purposes :( Al will no doubt get very lonely without me which is why I will have a card board cut-out of myself over the stove in the kitchen and a tape recording on repeat saying "Al, can you take the rubbish out please" :)
We are very excited about our overseas trip which is quickly approaching - just under three weeks now until we leave. I can't believe I will have one month off work!! I am looking forward to visiting Scotland, in particular Al's home town Aberdeen. New experiences like tasting haggis and black (blood) pudding, seeing "the dons" thrash "Man United", throwing a big tree log up in the air until it flips over, visiting the famous "Marks and Spencer's", drinking tea with the Queen at her Scotland palace and generally seeing the layout of the town in which Al grew up will be an unforgettable experience.
So keep posted, we will do our best to update our blog and report back on our experiences.
x Jo & Al
